Veronica Nin

Dr. Nin is dedicated to research on the relationship between poverty and cognitive processes. Within the framework of executive functions and neuroplasticity with which it works, it focuses on the dialogue between basic research on cognitive and emotional development in early childhood and the transformation of that knowledge into concrete strategies and tools for parents and educators to promote the development of mental skills essential for transiting through the educational system: attentional control, planning capacity and control of impulsive responses that give rise to reflective and adaptive behaviors on the part of children.

Works on several aspects linked to these topics: production of original knowledge on the effects of the socioeconomic level of the home on the development of executive functions and socioemotional development, evaluation of a curriculum for early education centers that seeks to promote socioemotional development and of programs to stimulate specific skills through video games.
