His main work focuses on the use of neural network models and the study of their strengths and shortcomings as models of cognitive activities. He has been interested in the applications of network models to normal language processing and psychiatric pathology and in particular in adapting some tools that have been successful in Natural Language Processing to neural network models. He directs the Language Processing Line at CIBPSI.
He teaches Biophysics Courses in the Faculty of Sciences and Neurobiology in Psychology. He is currently directing two master's theses and supervised one Master's and one PhD in the area of Neurosciences and Biophysics. It is grade 3 of the PEDECIBA and Level I of the SNI.
He is co-director of CICEA and integrates the research line "Language development and reading learning."
